Please Cyndi, help me with my pageant interview attire!

Ok, I know you are tired of spending countless hours searching for the perfect interview suit!  The Internet is just so big, and it's easy to get distracted while online, as soon as you think you've found the perfect interview dress, you see something else that catches your eye or draws your attention away from what you were looking for!  I know because it happens to me too! :-)

When I first started out in pageants, I had no clue about what type of interview suit I needed to have.  I just assumed that I was supposed to wear a black, blue or brown suit like I did for regular job interviews!  However, that is so far from the truth! 

Pageants are all about fashion, some trends and looking fabulous, but being well put together.  The pageant interview portion is less traditional when it comes to attire!  Therefore, you can actually be way more trendy and a little edgy with your pageant interview attire selection.

Guess what?  You don't even have to wear stockings!  Nope!  When I heard that, I couldn't believe it!  I was always told to wear stockings to an interview.  It was "no-no" not to!  Today, in the pageant world, stockings are irrelevant!  That is, in most pageants. 

Of course, if you choose to wear stockings, that is your choice, but don't feel like you have to!

My very first interview was a complete dud!  I was clueless!  I could actually tell by looking at some of the other ladies' pageant outfits, that they were more experienced and were very comfortable in the attire that they had on.  I saw all types of dresses - party, chic, short & flared ones, vintage, chiffon, sheath and so many more!  I thought, wow you can really step outside the traditional box with interview attire!

I knew that my next pageant interview dress had to be on point!  So, I talked to some of my pageant friends and searched the Internet and found my next pageant interview dress. 

Your pageant interview outfit can be anything you want it to be actually! 

However, you must remember that you should keep it simple, don't over do it with a lot of bold colors, for instance a bold color dress and a bold color shoe!  NO!  Don't do that!  If you go with a bold color dress, wear a neutral shoe. 

As a matter of fact, you should wear a neutral shoe anyways, or black, or silver, or gold, but just keep it toned down.  Don't wear strappy sandals that tie all the way up to your knees! :-)  

Though the shoes may be cute, don't wear them....save them for the party!! :-)
